New England Travel Vacation Information
New England Travel Vacation TipsTourists can float down the River Thames or get a bird's eye view of the city from the London Eye. London is terrific for seeing the great landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. Being British myself, I am of course somewhat biased! The best thing about England is its sheer variety. The weather may be a little unreliable and the fortunes of pound sterling inconsistent, but there is nothing to beat a vacation in England. It's also possible to see a lot in a short space of time. There is history, culture and natural scenery with a mix of fascinating cities, coastal spots and countryside. New England Travel Vacation AdviceMany towns have fine examples of Medieval, Edwardian and Victorian architecture. If history is your thing, there are other cities steeped in it, such as York and Canterbury. England is known for its cathedrals and those two cities have wonderful examples. The capital is a top destination and deservedly so but it would be a shame to ignore other parts of the country. There are world-class museums here, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. A vacation in England isn't all about history however; there are shops such as Harrods and Liberty to please the shopoholics. Art galleries with international reputations are here too, such as the National Gallery and the Tate and Tate Modern. New England Travel Vacation Facts
